We begin our journey at the magnificent Berat Castle, a living fortress that has watched over the city for more than 2,400 years. As you step inside its ancient walls, you will wander through a world of stone pathways, Byzantine churches, and traditional houses where local families still live today. Here, history feels alive; every alley tells a story, every viewpoint opens to breathtaking panoramas of the Osum Valley and the old city below.

From the castle, we make our way down toward the heart of Berat. The descent offers beautiful scenery and moments to pause for photos while your guide shares stories of medieval battles, hidden legends, and the evolution of the city through time.

Arriving in the historic Mangalem Quarter, you’ll be surrounded by the iconic white Ottoman houses that give Berat its name: “the city of a thousand windows.” Walking through the narrow cobblestone streets, you’ll discover ancient family homes, traditional architecture, and viewpoints that look like they belong in a postcard.

We then cross the elegant Gorica Bridge, an 18th-century stone masterpiece, leading us into the peaceful Gorica Quarter. This area is quieter, charming, and perfect for capturing incredible photos of Mangalem from across the river.

By the end of the tour, you will have experienced Berat from above, within, and across the river; seeing the city from every angle and understanding why it is one of the most enchanting destinations in Albania.
